Hi there.

So, I really would need some help from a kind person to help me out testing a website. Thing is simple, I send you a url, you visit it with your device and let me know what you see. That´s it.

Anyone? :)

P.S: Is somebody else seeing some kind of basic skin for their journals? and how in the earth works the new way of adding content to them?. :slow:
  • Mood: Daily Needs
  • Listening to: Kyuss - Blues For the Red sun
  • Reading: Red Mars
  • Watching: Futurama
  • Playing: Rage, not too often tho...
  • Eating: When I can

a week ago? hahaha.. man, it's more like almost a month ago. :D

yeah, i think i know what you're experiencing there, as it happened to me in many situations and occasions in my life. for me, it has often a lot to do with "feedback". not necessarily the usual feedback as in comments or favs, devwatches or whatever, but more the things we get back in return for what we're doing. our pleasure we somewhat extract from things, the sensations we witness and so on, you know.

when we start something new and fresh then everything is exciting, challenging and fun. sometimes it feels as if we will never grow tired of it and in fact, many people won't.

but from my experience, everything i ever started or pursued, eventually came to a point where it feels as if there's no longer any sensation, excitement, fun or whatever, but actually became -how shall i name it- mediocre?! it's a most natural situation that happens really everywhere. be it the job, a relationship we have with someone, the games we play, the things we eat, the clothes we wear, the stuff we watch, hear and read in the media and lots of lots of other things.

however, it's a phenomenon that usually comes and goes.
nothing stays in its current state forever, imo.

but then again we don't always wait for it to change on its own, more likely we make decisions to conduct our next steps. sometimes knowingly and sometimes un-knowingly.

maybe there are four different types of decisions there. one is to just fully love what you're currently doing. even if that'd mean that we have to put some effort to it. another option is to change the situation by becoming an active part in whatever the situation might demand. and then there's of course the option to just leave and to turn our back on a situation. "i don't like it anymore, so i just go to a place elsewhere". and finally there's the 4th and maybe most common option and that's to just sit there and do nothing. except for waiting and being passive. the latter is often the option in which we feel ourselves the most uncomfortable with, because frankly, nobody really likes to get an impression as if he/she is only reacting to the things that are happening around him/her, right?

anyways..
..to get back to the point, i think that the things for you have just developed itself to what they currently are and how you experience them, without you even knowing how that actually happened. but is it really important to know? it's just how it is. the more interesting question could be: what are you're going to do with it?

do you feel like you want to be more active here on deviantART again? maybe it isn't always about receiving the feedback, but also a matter of providing some feedback. me, i often am under the impression that i always get the same type of feedback, no matter what i realease here on deviantART. but the feedback changes as soon as i'd make an effort and interact more with the people i once decided to add to my watchlist.

my being here on deviantART has significantly changed eversince i acquired the GM position. i get way more notes, comments, questions, requests and inquiries than i did, before i became a GM and now i haven't really got the time anymore to be creative and to just take a few days off from anything i do, to just let the inspiration settle in and which would let me forget everything around me.

the GM job is exhausting, timeconsuming and sometimes i even think about just quitting it. it's not always fun to do this job and i often miss the days when i could just do whatever i want with my creativity. oh yes, the deviantART experience has changed a lot for me. and so have my relationships with the community and the few great friends i met here.

i wonder what will happen when my term of being a GM ends. will i refrain from all my deviantART activities, and if so.. for how long? will i be as creative as i once used to be? will i miss any of the things i'm doing now? will i be missed? what comes next? is it possible for me to make me feel the fun again? have i maybe already destroyed some of my old abilities to enjoy what i'm doing? so many questions that sometimes really worry me.

one thing is for sure tho..
..i always felt a need to express myself through the things i create and i think that's never going to change. actually that's the most important thing to focus on for me. not on how the people may like what i'm creating or on how many favs i'll get or whatever. the community around me might change over time, but i'm sure that in one way or another i'll always be a part of it.

and so will you, my friend. active or inactive... you've already made an impact and the people will always remember you for exactly that. if "now" isn't the time for you to become more active and involved, then so be it. personally, i don't think that there's anything wrong with that.

so, don't beat yourself up over this. it's already really wonderful to see that you've recognized the changes and that you're thinking about them and yourself. it's an interesting situation for sure, but then again it is nothing more than that. :D

keep it up, my friend.
i'll see you around. :#1:

Dude I think this is the longest comment anybody left in my account. ever.

Im not taking the matter as a question of internal debate it is just a situation that has arrive by itself as the time has passed by in a natural way. Im feeling 100% fine with that, it is just Im curious about other peoples experiences, so thanks for sharing yours, really.

yeah, i think i got carried away a bit there. :D
all my apologies, if this has strained your eyes in any way.

seems as if i was addressing most of my questions that started like "do you...?" or "have you...?" to myself actually.

either way, i wasn't meant to imply that you're currently in an inner struggle or something. not in the least and i once again want to apologize if that came out wrong.

i guess, all i'm saying is that i'm quite active in the community right now, but i think that has strongly to do with my current GM position and i'm almost sure that everything will turn to what you've descrbed in your journal, once my GM term ends.

sorry again and keep it up, Roberto!! :#1:
